NOTES

The Green Party is going into these local elections with around 760 councillors on nearly 170 Councils in both urban and rural settings, and Greens being a governing party in 10% of all councils in England and Wales.

Last May’s local elections were the most successful in the party’s history. The Green Party gained over 200 council seats and achieved majority control of a council for the first time. That council – Mid Suffolk District – recently received the accolade of Council of the Year.

Stephen Price has been selected as one of the Green Party’s candidate for Norton at the local elections on May 2nd.

After moving away to earn his doctorate, Stephen moved back to the Black Country a few years ago. Stephen decided to get involved helping people in the Norton area after feeling local people aren’t being listened to as much as we should be, in decisions that affect us.

He lives with his young family near the Oldswinford cross and is passionate about helping people and making sure that our area of Stourbridge is the best it can possibly be. He is a parent governor at Red Hill school.

He is no stranger to working hard – he is personally retrofitting his own house to be at the high-grade insulation standard, that all homes should be. If elected – he’ll push for this for all homes in our community.

Stephen has worked as a senior professional in both public and commercial sectors, running departments and large budgets. He knows what it takes to get things done.

Stephen says: “I love Stourbridge and I’m determined to put all my energy into helping people in our community.”
