1. Vote Green
The next elections are on 1st May 2014 so please remember to go and vote Green.
During the lead up to the elections in April and May it is important to make the Green Party name visible. We would really appreciate you displaying a 'Vote Green Party' poster in your window or anywhere else visible to the public. Just click on the image to download or contact us to arrange delivery.
3.
Help deliver leaflets
We always welcome volunteers to help up deliver leaflets. We deliver a monthly Green View Newsletter to everyone in Netherton, Woodside & St Andrews to keep them informed of issues in the ward and our activities. We also produce 'Special Editions' and Street Letters for areas where there are particular issues. Nearer election time there are several other letters to be delivered so we would be grateful for any spare time you can offer. We always go out in pairs or teams and it is a good chance to work alongside other supporters and members and get to know them. It's a really easy thing to do so whatever your level of experience we'd love to hear from you!
4. Donate to Dudley.
The Green Party values it's independence and the freedom to say and do what it believes to be fair and right. It therefore does not accept donations from big business or unions. This means that all funding comes directly from members and supporters. If you don't have much time on your hands but would still like to help then why not donate ? Your money would help us to print newsletters, buy resources and get Green councillors elected to Dudley council.
5. Fundraising Events
Dudley Green Party holds regular fundraising and social events. These are not political events but a good chance for members, supporters, friends and families to socialise and raise a bit of money at the same time. Events are usually priced £3 unwaged or £5 waged and everyone is welcome.
Walks
If you want to meet like minded people and see some interesting sights at the same time then why not come on the next Dudley Green Party walk ? If you know a little about the local area then you could even offer to lead one !
Pub Quizes
Enjoy relaxing in the evenings ? Then put Dudley Green Party's next Pub Quiz in your diary. There's a prize for the winning team and the chance to take part in a raffle. Topics range from Sport to Literature; there's something for everyone.
6. Attend a meeting
Meetings take place once a month in the Smoke Room of Ma Pardoes (The Old Swan), Netherton. There is a chance to hear what members have been up to, how the campaign is going and there is usually a policy discussion. You will be made to feel very welcome and can contribute as little or as much as you want to discussion. Ma Pardoe's serves it's own delicious real ales, soft drinks and tea as well as a few bar snacks.
The date is normally the first Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm. See our meetings page for details of the next meeting.
