The Next elections in Dudley will be on 1st May 2014.

Dudley Green Party will be selecting key candidates for these elections over the coming months.

In the 2012 elections Will Duckworth was Dudley Green Party's candidate for Netherton, Woodside and St Andrew's ward and was elected as Councillor with 1525 votes when the votes were counted in the early hours of Friday 4th May.

Will, a house husband from Netherton, says "I am honoured to be representing the honest and principled Green Party".

Will Duckworth has lived and worked in Netherton for more than 25 years. He taught at a local secondary school in the ward before becoming a house husband to his wife Vicky who is a primary school teacher. For the last five years Will has been growing and cooking most of his own food using his local allotment. Will has three grown up children who all live in the West Midlands.

Will is keen to point out that the Greens are the only Parliamentary party committed to opposing cuts to our public services. He believes this allows the Green Party to be free to propose the bold policies needed to get Britain out of the economic crisis and on a path of sustainable prosperity. One such policy is the Green New Deal, a plan to create one million new jobs in industries based on tackling climate change and reducing energy dependency. For example, Will believes that small building firms should be employed insulating homes, schools and other public buildings in the local area.

Will is fighting hard to improve our public transport infrastructure and protecting key features of the community, including the Post Office and the canal network.
